What Should the Flow Rate Be on My Chiller?Updated 3 days ago
The chiller’s optimal flow range is 5–6+ gal/min. If your flow rate drops below 4.5 gal/min, you may see CLN flash on the screen, indicating that maintenance is needed.
At this time, you should:
Replace the filter on the back of the chiller
Clean the inline hose strainer located at the bottom port of the chiller
(How to replace the filter and clean the inline hose strainer)
If your flow rate is still not within the optimal range after performing maintenance, this may be caused by air entering the system. To correct this, please ensure:
All valves and hose connections are hand-tightened fully
The filter canister is properly aligned in the grooves of the filter housing and tightened with the filter wrench
The inline hose strainer is aligned correctly in its grooves and hand-tightened
Following these steps should restore proper flow and performance.
