Both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 come with the same model Viking Tub. Both generation chillers will also come equipped with an Ozone generator that automatically cleans and disinfects the water. Ozone is a power disinfectant that works over 3x faster and is 50% stronger than chlorine itself. 

The Gen 1 Chiller is primarily for cooling. It does not have freeze protection, so will need to be placed inside of a temperature regulated area when temperatures reach below freezing. Gen 1 can cool the water down to 38 degrees. 

The Gen 2 Chiller is essentially an upgraded chiller from the Gen 1. It has a heating functionality that can help freeze protect the unit in the winter months and can heat the water up to 104 degrees. Gen 2 comes equipped with Wi-Fi Capabilities, digital display, increased horsepower, sleeker design, an auto priming feature, etc.
