What Do Bubbles Mean?

The bubbles flowing into the Viking are intentional. Nordic Wave chillers are equipped with an Ozone generator, and the bubbles you see are the residual ozone remaining after the water has absorbed as much of this oxidizing agent as possible. Ozone (O3) is a powerful disinfectant that is 50% stronger and works over three times faster than chlorine.

It's important to note that bubbles are not just a random occurrence; rather, they serve as valuable indicators of the health and functionality of your chiller system. When you observe bubbles rising from the top port, it's actually a positive sign. Here's why:
  1. Priming Confirmation: The presence of bubbles indicates that your chiller is adequately primed, ensuring optimal performance.
  2. Filter Status: Clean, unobstructed filters allow water to flow smoothly through the system, resulting in the formation of bubbles. Thus, when you see bubbles, it's an indication that your filter is in good condition.
  3. Optimal Water Flow: Bubbles also signal that water flow within the vessel is at its peak efficiency, which is crucial for maintaining the desired temperature and overall functionality of your Viking.
However, if you do not observe any bubbles, it's essential to take prompt action. The absence of bubbles suggests potential issues that require attention. Here's what you should do:
  1. Filter Replacement: Immediately replace the filter to ensure unimpeded water flow and prevent any further complications.
  2. Hose Inspection: Check for any clogs or kinks in your hoses, as these can disrupt the flow of water and hinder the performance of your chiller system.
In summary, remember this simple rule: Bubbles are good; no bubbles are cause for concern. By staying vigilant and proactive in monitoring your Viking, you can ensure its continued smooth operation and longevity.

Regular Cleaning Routine

Keeping your Viking in top-notch condition is essential for maximizing its longevity and performance. We highly recommend changing the water in your Viking at least once a month to ensure optimal cleanliness. This simple step helps prevent the buildup of bacteria and maintains water quality. Additionally, it is crucial that you replace the water filter during this time to ensure efficient filtration and a refreshing experience every time you use your Viking.

Outdoor Suitability

Our products are specifically designed to withstand outdoor environments. Whether you're enjoying your Viking in the backyard, on the patio, or by the poolside, you can trust that it's built to endure the elements.

Prevent Fading

  • Maintain a regular cleaning schedule to remove dirt, dust, and debris that can contribute to fading over time.
  • Avoid using abrasive chemicals or harsh cleaning agents, as these can strip away protective coatings and accelerate fading.
